TheVolkyland.com reaches all corners of the world, we have readers and fans from Spain, Argentina, Venezuela, Costa Rica, Germany, Russia, Dominican Republic, Colombia, Ukraine, England and of course the United States. This particular story comes from the US, the state of Florida, specifically from the Tampa Bay area.

What makes this story different is that it involves a group of expatriate Puerto Ricans that have found home away from home. The common interests they share are not limit to language, geography and background, but extend into their hobby, cars, as in Volkswagen vehicles. Most of these fellows are, believe it or not, from the town of Yauco, P.R., the very same town that is home to the Volkswagen Museum of Puerto Rico.

One of the leaders, Luis Vélez, is an avid reader of TheVolkyland.com and contacted Volkyland's editor, Luis Mariano Muñoz, to share their story including photos of some of the group's cars. Vélez, and their group, wanted to let everybody know that the "Volkymania" is alive and well in Tampa, and use this media to express their thanks to Mr. Carlos Machicote, of Elba, Alabama, for getting the group started and helping them along the way.
